Welcome to Hackemer Lofts and thank you for visiting our web site. We hope you will find something to interest you as a fellow pigeon fancier. We feel that much of the information offered here, developed from our years of experience, is timeless and can be helpful.
Our breeding colony is based on the Meulemans strain, which we were the first to bring into this country. Youngsters from our breeders have proven themselves as producers and flyers in our own loft, as well as across the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Taiwan. In recent years we have blended in two exceptional Casaert cocks. They are Jesse and his cousin Nasdaq 572, a son of Nasdaq, First National winner. We have also added with great success children of the world-famous Figo, another First National winner known for his flying-out-front ability. We intend to add an exceptional bird periodically to strengthen our colony.
We flew in the Chicago area for almost 50 years, the last 35+ with the North Valley Combine. Hackemer Lofts is an All-American loft with an enviable and consistent flying record. We have flown 17 AU Champions.
In Year 2000, we began flying as the Boys Club at our new home in Florida with the Gulfcoast Homing Club, the largest club in the USA. (www.gulfcoasthomingclub.com). This hotbed of pigeon racing is where the best come to compete. Races are decided by seconds and success is not whether you are first, but whether you place on the front page. We are consistent and competitive in what is known as the Little Belgium of the United States. In 2004 we changed our flying name to Hackemer/McNeilus.
Highlights of our Florida results include the following:
|

11th on IF Convention Race |

From time to time we will be offering birds for sale on this web site. As in the past, quality pigeons are important to us. The reputation of our flying and breeding lofts continues to be based on our integrity, our performance record, and our desire to improve and develop our birds.
We are an active member of both national organizations, the
American Racing Pigeon Union
and the International Federation.
