The 1999 Young Birds season has gotten off to a great start at Hackemer Lofts, and we'd like to introduce our latest First Combine winner, 99 NVC 0259. On August 22, 1999, she took top honors on a 220 mile race flown in the North Valley Combine, taking First against 556 birds. In retrospect, her victory should have come as no surprise because her pedigree is stacked with both bloodlines and performance.
0259's bloodlines are impeccable. Her sire is Vos 74. He is a son of the "23", sire of 7 Ace Pigeons and 2 Olympiad pigeons. Her dam is 94 LCC 1067, a daughter of Mr. Motion and NL-93-9334598, sister of The Slate.
Those bloodlines also have a history of performance. 0259's sister, 97-97012, was Champion Bird of the North Valley Combine. A full brother was sent to Harry Shipholt, who flies in the very competitive GHC Club in Florida. That brother scored a First and Third Combine as a yearling. Another full sister, 98 LCC 8228, won a Third Combine against 497 birds for us last year.
